How Much Do You Spend on Filling a Christmas Stocking?

Ask a Question

I was wondering, how much you guys spend on filling people's Christmas stockings ?

I tend to fill them with their favourite chocolate bars, Terry's chocolate orange and maybe a cheap novelty gift, if I see something they would like. So probably £20 maximum.

I don't do Christmas stockings. I'm considering doing one for our son this year. £15-£20 would be the max I would spend for it.

MrsCraig I do them for my mum, mother in law ( Because they are on their own. So I do like to spoil them a bit ), my nephew and my husband.

I do love giving them. I think they would be disappointed if I didn't 🤣.

wyal5 he started to understand the concept of Christmas last year, it didn't seem worth doing it the years before as he didn't really get it. I think he would appreciate it now though so thinking about doing one this year.

About £20. Generally filled with favourite sweet treats like chocolates, biscuits, sweets, some other small bits like socks, bath bombs, candles/wax melts.

That's really kind and a generous amount. I don't do Christmas stockings but if I did, I'd spend about £10.

I always end up spending loads, the stocking or should I say ends up being a sack, is the best start of Xmas morning, before moving down to the Xmas tree in the morning, I wrap everything, to make it more fun, I end up spending a small fortune on crap, sweets, colouring pens, all small stuff mostly from the £ shop, it's great fun watching my son get so excited over bath bombs. Socks oranges, sweets 🫣😂😂😂 it's all worth every penny/pound I spend

I used to fill Christmas stocking for the children when they were younger and probably came to around the £10 make back then. A mixture of items, silly little toys when they were younger and then special toiletries as they got older. Don’t do any now.

When we were children our stockings were left on our beds for Christmas morning. They always contained something to snack and something to keep us busy like a game or colouring until it was morning.I guess it was little cost

No more than £10. Christmas is expensive enough. I tend to pick stuff up throughout the year for them
