Do You Spend More Money during Christmas?
Ask a Question
I just thought of the fact that I think I might be spending more money during Christmas season.
Not just because I purchase Christmas Presents, but because I feel jolly.
Do you find yourself spending more money during Christmas season?
Let me know in the comments
Yes, I believe everyone spends more. Presents, food and going out. You always need at least one posh dress too plus New Year. I’m not keen on New Year parties nowadays so this year I’m tempted to say to my husband let’s decline any invite and let’s just watch tvand hibernate.
Definitely, my husband gets exasperated with me, he says it's 2 days why do I need so much but when you're feeding the whole family and a couple more it's surprising how quick the food goes over Christmas.
The only extra we spend is on presents and a few snacks and treats to eat we dont go out at all though out the year either how eating habits are the same i don't understand why people have trolleys over loaded with crap the shop is literally shut for 1 day
I think I do just in the run up to christmas, but my partner in october starts trying to justify buying everything by saying “it’s Christmas!“, i.e buying a tub of quality street every week
Yes definitely we do lots of extra activities and parties and tend to eat and drink more too so it all adds up
Yes I do i rarely go out the rest of the year but come Christmas I'm out all the time ! so new outfits and getting hair / make up done all adds up.
No I don't. I don't go to the work parties or out for drinks so no need for fancy outfits and we don't go out at hogmannay. We are minimal when it comes to presents, we only buy for our parents, granny and brother in law and now our son, but we won't be going overboard. We have slightly different food so it might be slightly more expensive food wise but the left overs last us for days so probable evens itself out.
My mum will be going all out this year as we are spending it with her and she is so excited to have her grandson for his first proper Christmas.
I doubt there are many who don't. Presents alone, even a few, cost money unless homemade, and I guess we all buy extra food either to entertain or treat ourselves.
