Spider Removal - Unusual method.......

Ask a Question

A young girl was shot in the neck by a woman who was aiming at a spider 🕷

Wow, that’s a spider elimination method I’d never thought of.

Do you have any tips or tricks to repel or deter spiders? Do they really work?

The article states it was unclear whether she managed to shoot the spider.

More importantly, the poor girl is expected to make a full recovery but now suffers from PTSD and barely speaks.

I’ve heard that placing horse chestnuts (conkers) around your house helps deter them

When I did that I found them sitting on top of them! (and probably laughing at me 😉 )

These days we regularly use bug bombs in the loft & garage and that keeps them down, we hardly ever see any at all!

PinkElephant26 They can climb out of some vacuum cleaners too!!! We buy them from amazon, just type in bug bombs - we use the smoke bombs but you must choose what is best for you and your home (we tend to go out for a while after setting them off because they do smell a bit, but at least you know it's working! then open the windows for a while if it is really strong)

tumblespots what? I always thought the terminal velocity killed them, along with getting propelled backwards and then hitting the bend in the vacuum hose. Can you tell I’ve put a lot of thought into this? I’m hoping my theory is correct otherwise there are a few spiders in the vacuum having party... 🥳

HappyTravels Some may die but not all and these days the vacuum cleaners that you buy don't have the 'sucking power' that they used to.

tumblespots yikes. Thankfully we don’t get many huntsman spiders in the UK 😬🕷 And as for a spider hospital....no, nay, never.

just goes to show how different we all are .... I can't touch spiders...or any 'creepy crawlies' but I'll spend ages trying to find a clear pot and piece of card to trap spiders and then release them somewhere (in the house) but away from the bedroom! Crazy?!

Yet another reason why the gun laws need to be amended in America! The article says the children no longer feel safe at home. I’m not surprised!!

Yeah I shout at my husband to come and remove them. When I was young it was my brother. When i lived on my own I just was frozen, not able to do anything and then I couldn't sleep as there was a huge spider in my bedroom 😱

Oh thanks for the tip, I love the smell of lavender and use sleep sprays in the bedroom but maybe I should use it elsewhere too. It’s a bit expensive so I’ll buy some cheaper stuff.
