Sports Direct Increase Online Sport Kit prices after Coronavirus Store Closures

In the News

This time yesterday I posted about Sports Direct planning to keep stores open despite the latest round of restrictions, as it was "uniquely well placed to help keep the UK as fit and healthy as possible".

Given that didn't work out they have now decided to increase the price of sports equipment by over 50%.

This move would suggest Sports Direct concern over the fitness of the UK was a little bit disingenuous 🏋️

I'm not surprised. It's just another example to add to Mike Ashley's already tarnished reputation.

ACR Dyson is at it too!

All the rich are at it - the richer you are the greedier you are it seems that is the rule!

Never understood that myself, if i made a million that would be enough for me i would buy a yacht and travel the world not sit in an office 7 days a week counting the cash and thinking of the next big deal to make yet more money!

It is one of the big conundrums in life that I have never worked out and never will I think!

Seen this one - utterly disgraceful so if you are rich you are ok if you are poor well just die nobody cares!

Apparently the test actually costs £15 that is some markup!

I agree, I'm really not a fan of James Dyson. I would only use a Dyson product if I had won it in a competition. I refuse to buy anything from them.

ACR Yeah me too i repair em and i can tell you the motors for a start in some of the hoovers cost £15 on ebay and Dyson repair centre is charging £100 he also closed his UK factories and moved abroad - someone told me it was bad blood because none of the UK companies would bankroll his first Cyclonic hoover so he decided to stick his fingers up to the uk which is understandable but he has become just another rich a££hole

What is it with people when they become rich they seem to become downright thomas titty people maybe the devil is in the money he is controlling us with paper and black gold!

garygemmell Repairing is the best way to go with everything. Cars, vacuum cleaners, even some modern TVs can be repaired. Even if people can't do it themself, they should know someone who can.

Don't buy anything from that ****. It's a bag of **** anyway. Every time I have bought shoes from there, they last about 3 months.

His prices can be dodgy, as when you shop instore it’s sometimes less than online, and other times it’s more! I have noticed a few stores have shut down recently, so I’m guessing he isn’t doing so good himself
