Do You Have A Method When Stacking The Dishwasher?
Ask a Question
My husband always complains when I load the dishwasher, and he always moved things around before he puts it on. I don't think it matters how you load it as the plates get cleaned regardless. I put cups and glasses on top shelf, plates in the plate racks, so it can only be how I stack the cereal dishes and pots and pans.
Do you have a preferred method ?
I restack when my wife loads it, but she plonks the stuff in random places and in racks that don't fit that item. Does my nut in
My husband couldn't care less how the dishwasher is stacked! As long as the items fit in and are clean when they come out. I put the cups and glasses on the top shelf, same with the bowls, then plates in the rack and cutlery in the cutlery caddy. I don't often put pots and pans in and even then only certain ones, but they also go on the top shelf.
If my husband complained about the way I loaded the dishwasher he would be doing it all himself, but I load the dishwasher and I put cups and glasses and cereal dishes and bigger knives on the top and plates in the plate racks and pans on the bottom and cutlery in the basket
I have to be honest but your husband needs a kick in the bum - If you are cooking and doing the cleaning then he should be doing the dishes manually and not wasting money on a dishwasher - Just think what you could have spent that £x00 on? Men I have observed these days are bone idle they expect the woman do do all the cooking, cleaning and looking after the kids not to mention the shopping and they just come home and sit in front of the tv and wait for you to bring the meal to them!
People go on about saving the environment but when it comes to the reality its all just a load of mouthwash!
Dishwashers are incredibly wasteful and damaging to the environment in terms of chemicals, energy and landfill when they go belly up.
I can wash by hand quicker than you could wash any size load in a dishwasher and I have washed all my dishes in cold water for decades - except for stuff that is covered in fat or nasty grease only then do i use hot water!
Symptom of the lazy western society we have now - In eastern europe they laugh at the need for a dishwasher!
Ann1984 Yip my mum had one she was always spending extra time washing the dishes in the sink when they came out encrusted in white powder or bleaching the dishwasher when the dreaded black fungus started to appear!
Then there are all the broken dishes - not worth it!
Quality Bosch as well but it went phutt after five years terrible waste of £700 - she never bought another one!
When my husband loads up the dishwasher, he crams everything in and my cups and mugs come out chipped Now I only use my dishwasher once a week and wash the dishes by hand daily.
We only use on dishwasher once & twice a week so it saves on water. When I wash by hand I think I use more water as I wash it then rinse the item with running water. We have never had an issue with things not being clean & very rarely do we need to wash anything again. I use Finish Quantum tablets which I would recommend them as they don't damage glasses.
It is so weird I do most of the stuff in the kitchen but my husband likes to be in charge of the dishwasher. It used to be annoying but now I just let him load and unload. One less job for me (should say 2).
We were without one for 6 months and I really missed it, although it did make us do the dishes straight away as it's harder to wash dryed on food. Luckily enough the previous owner left their s, and it was great not to have to do the dishes after every meal
