Starting a List of Stores for NHS Staff, Vulnerable and Elderly People
Ask a Question
Hi, I'm not sure if it'd be of interest. But I was thinking maybe it'd be good to have a list of stores that are offering a designated hour for NHS staff, vulnerable and elderly people to shop for essentials. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
M&S
NHS and emergency staff- Tuesday and Friday for the first hour.
Elderly and vulnerable people Monday and Thursday for the first hour.
Sainsburyβs
NHS Staff -
Monday to Saturday 07:30-08:00
Elderly customers, disabled customers and carers-
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 08.00 to 09.00 (except Express stores)
Great to see supermarkets offering NHS priority time, slight problem for a lot of them is that day shift starts at 7.30am and night shift ends at 8.00am
Hello, thank you for the chat post. A quick way to see what freebies are currently available for NHS workers is to go to our Freebie section and search "NHS":

Hi Tom, thanks very much. I will have a look at the freebies I'll add stores that I can find offering special access times as it's difficult to get the basics atm
Hi Sanitation1234 That's great that they are helping elderly people in some shops near you. Thank you for sharing this
Tesco
NHS staff can browse Tesco stores every Sunday one hour before checkouts open - this means times may change between stores.
Elderly or vulnerable people can visits 9am-10am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Sanitation1234 I hope you had a good day and are doing well. That is so lovely. Look after yourself and stay safe
NHS and emergency staff have Tuesday and Friday for 1 hour and many other stores like Tesco Asda and Sainsbury's are doing this to help the vulnerable.
There weren't before? I would think there would be more younger people on here now during the day who were previously working.
Lynibis No they are all playing xbox and ps4
By the standard of the replies and abuse i have had after only a few days on here it does seem like a place for the politically correct no sense of humour old folks brigade
Even had some idiot complain about my username has everyone lost their sense of humour or are they all just a bunch of old fart5 on here
HughJarsse your posts would suggest you could be the brother of someone else on here, your posts are so similar. Some folk do prefer politeness and I don't think it is fair that their feelings are discounted because others have a no holds barred attitude to life. No one gets abuse unless their comments invite it.
Lynibis 3 sisters actually and yes two are on here its how i found out about it now i lost my job i need some distrations I am always polite i just like a laugh and to have fun no time for fuddy duddies
HughJarsse it would be fun to start a new game on here, spot the sisters lol! You would have to spend some dosh on a prize for the winner!
Thanks HughJarsse you do seem familiar. A competition to find your sisters would be great
Dani1 Ok first letter begins with L I am sayin no more they post deals not chat much though
HughJarsse I'll be keeping an eye out in deals then Thinking it could be Lorraine or Laura maybe lol
Anyone know about Iceland? Their website isn't very helpful unfortunately. Would be useful to go tomorrow morning but don't want to wait and find out I can't go in.
@ Meestairchrees Iceland first hour of trading is for elderly & vulnerable only. Final hour of trading is for NHS staff only & they must show I.D.
Glitterandgold thanks for that. They've recently moved back opening by an hour too (9am) so I guess most others cash only go in at 11?
MeestairChrees If store opening is 9am, you should be good to go do your shopping by 10am. That's certainly what it is in my local store. NHS staff are the final hour of shop opening times.
