Stay Away from Wales!

In the News

The amount of 2nd home owners, caravanners and campers coming into Wales at the moment is ridiculous.

Pembrokeshire and North Wales are going to bare the brunt of it.

Wales just doesn't have the infrastructure to cope tbh.

Everyone has been told to stay at HOME, and HOME isn't your 2nd home or a campsite/holiday park.

Wales is finding it hard enough already to cope, so if you're thinking of coming, DON'T.

If you look at what's happening in other countries with governments imposing movement control orders and using police roadblocks, closing petrol stations etc. to stop people moving about, I would be wary of going far from home. There could very suddenly be a total lockdown and you could find yourself not able / not allowed to return home for a very long time.

Johnny They should have stopped them coming in anyway.

People who have come into Wales recently should have their ID checked, and they're not based here, should be sent back.

Wales is only a small country and they can't cope.

Why not set it to music and let a Welsh male voice choir sing:

You're not welcome in the hillsides

You're not welcome in the vales

We've got our own Covid nineteen

So steer well clear of Wales.

True we were in Conwy and Caernarfon and Portmerion last year - very nice people even met a fellow metal detectorist under the castle in Caernarfon ended up going for a chat and a pint.

The things you find out when you actually try and be friendly to the locals and I am a gabby aggie like most Glaswegians we can talk to anyone - apparently that guy DREW PRITCHARD who does that antiques show on the telly is a notorious violent drunk in the local pubs has caused loads of fights and is persona non grata with the locals who would have thought i just thought he was a mild mannered baldy wee nob - celebs eh all nobs!

garygemmell Yes I heard that too. South Wales is a nice place to be. The people are great. To be fair, I've had good experiences in the North too which is where Drew is. Wrexham feels like an English town that has gone back in time by around 20 years so that may be a good or bad thing depending on what you're after from a place.

Dennab Shame portmeirion was such a disappointment i was a big McGoohan fan and always wanted to visit the Prisoner location but it was sad run down and cheap and nasty!

I then watched ABANDONED ENGINEERING (My fave tv programme) and saw the GWYRYCH castle last week and its right next door to Portmeirion - what a bummer it would have been very interesting and a good place to visit and even get a day of some metal detecting!

Might go back now just to see the castle - amazing guy built it as a tribute to his mum!

Now thats what I call a real cool guy and i dont throw menthol cools around very often!
