Where Do You Store Your Butter?

Ask a Question

A short while ago i saw a debate in another facebook group about where is best to store butter. I store mine in an old fashioned butter dish in the cupboard. My mother and grandmother always stored butter the same way. What about everyone else?

I use block butter in an old fashioned butter dish and kept in the cupboard. The spare butter is stored in the fridge until i put in the butter dish. My mom keeps hers in the fridge but my nan is the same as me :-)

During warmer times in the fridge and during colder times on the counter. It all depends if you are as tight as me when it comes to turning on the heating.

In a butter dish in the cupboard. In the Winter it's rock hard and unspreadable, in the summer we have to make sure it doesn't turn into a puddle. There are about 3 days in Spring/Autumn when it's just the right consistency for putting on the bread. 😆

Butter in a container like a spread we keep in the fridge. A real block of butter in a butter dish in cupboard, its too hard to spread if you keep that in the fridge 🤣

I think i may be te only person in my age group who keeps their butter in a butter dish in the cupboard! Can't stand unspreadable butter which makes your toast cold before it melts! 😆

We have a butter dish in the cupboard and a few spares in the fridge. Last month we were at Co op in the village and they had 6 pots of double cream with the expiry date getting close. So we bought them at 10p a pot got home and in they went to the food processor, best butter I have had in ages!! Image
