How's everyone getting on with storm Bert? We've had rain and a bit of wind not as bad as I was expecting it to be
We have had quite a bit of strong winds which has caused some trees to fall down. Otherwise it has definitely not been as bad as we first thought and very normal for us this time of the year.
Jerseydrew thankfully we still have power. We lost it on Thursday for 9 hours, it was horrible! Not sure I could have managed another day of it.
Jerseydrew yes it really wasn't very nice but thankfully it's in the past. It has been a very long time since our last power cut so I can't complain too much. The engineers worked extremely hard in such cold conditions outside which would have been worse than us, at least we could use some blankets.
Fortunately not too bad where I am , been an horrible day heavy rain, but not too windy. On the plus side temperatures are up today , it has been bitterly cold all week .
Horrible windy and rainy day but only on the edge down here in the south. Think I’m in the best place here.
It's been non stop shocking here in SW Wales. Worst thing about it is my Sky going off all the time 
It's a couple of minutes to midnight and it's still raining with 50+mph winds
TheChimp argh I hate it when that happens so annoying. I hope you are OK and not flooded or anything. In the last couple of years we've had really bad flooding. Still can't use all the playground where I work which is crazy that was from 2 years ago. People still are back in home from storm cairsn as we were hit by a tornado 
Quite bad here very high winds very heavy rain doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon
Horrible black ice in Sheffield on Friday!!
My partner drove me to work,had to pull car in near supported living home I work at & placed car mat on floor outside the car so I could stand on it as everywhere was black ice, then hold me up til I got to gate.
I asked our manager if we had a grit, we did & he gritted outside as well as the lady did 2 homes down, she told us she had nearly fallen 3 times!
Staff member told me yesterday her friend was on her Driving Lesson Friday & an old man had fallen on black ice, hit his head & there was a pool of blood next to him, ambulance in attendance..
My partner bought my snow boots Friday afternoon as I wasn't home til last night but it rained yesterday so I didn't need them..
I managed to get the shopping done at work yesterday then walk home, it was a bit damp last night but mild..
This morning Sheffield is being battered by wind & heavy rain so I won't be going to Mass, need to rest...
Second day of heavy wind and rain for us, it's been absolutely awful here, but seen it so much worse for people on the news, some are just having floods time after time now, and it must be just heart breaking for them!! 
It's been horrible here, really windy, non stop rain and it's freezing, today isn't too bad, it's a bit warmer and windy & rain has stopped
It was horrific kept me up most of the night the wind was so loud. Realised this morning the latch wasn’t on my window typical as had to be up early too..!
We have been pretty lucky, some rain but very rainy. We lost a cat tube toy over the fence to our neighbours home and another cat cube toy went over the bungalow to our neighbour opposite.
Some trees have gone down near by but yeah not as bad as expected in general, thankfully.
I’ve been out in the lashings of rain and wind and it’s not been fun. But it’s warmed up as a result of the rain
