pocket money received by kids is usually spent on silly things - but not for this kid!
Just when you think everyone is selfish and the world is doomed, something pops up randomly to make you realise you’re wrong
You’re welcome I agree, as it’s just too many disheartening, depressing stories being shared atm. We need to stay positive. There are still good people about, and life is still worth living
hspexy If you want some positive cheering story here's one and believe me it's absolutely true. There is not, and is extremely unlikely ever to be, a genuine bog roll shortage in the UK, The reason is because (and this can be supported) that the UK exports more bog rolls than we import, so if there is a shortage all we have to do is stop exporting them.
I don't know whether to contact News at Ten with this revelation (or even 10 Downing Street)- it could stop all the panic buying.
Remember folks you read it here first: And here's the evidence to support it. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2020/03/13/uk-wont-run-toilet-roll/
davidstockport I already believe this to be the case, based on what I know about the industry, as well as the general blase attitude most retailers have had about the empty shelves. They’re restocking a few times every day, and looking at the serial numbers, there’s loads already in warehouses waiting to be shipped, not including the ones in production right now. It’s all so silly as you don’t have to use tissue to wipe...
hspexy But why can't the public accept the simple fact - "That there is no shortage", then that poor kid wouldn't have needed to spend his money to help those who thought there was.
The thing that concerns me least about this Covid-19 crisis is running out of bog roll. . ..
Breath maybe!
What I can't understand is if toilet rolls were in short supply where he lived - how was he able to get 60 or 70?
Serious question any answers?
He could possibly be a hoarder with serious amounts of pocket money. He might have even initially intended to flip them to get rich quick, but realised being kind and generous will give him good PR. Either way, the people in his community will benefit from his donations, and he’s done more for them than most would do for their next door neighbours
hspexy That can't be the answer it said he went to the LOCAL SHOP and bought them - so where he lived there was no shortage (except perhaps for those who tried to buy them after he'd cleared the shop out).
davidstockport lol so he’s the second option, the entrepeneur who initially intended to flip them to get rich quick
