Subscribing. More Chance of Winning?

Hi. I am wondering if you stand more chance of winning comps if you sign up/register/subscribe to a site when they ask you to. Unless I genuinely have an interest in the site I often don't bother but do wonder if they discard those that don't. Can anyone remember winning a comp from someone they haven't signed up to?

I enter so many comps that I lose track of them all, so it's hard to say.
But if signing up to a company is optional then I don't see why your entry should get discarded.
