Water maybe. I don’t tend to buy sugary drinks even over Christmas

I think you have to self regulate, and maybe only have one or two of these drinks.

If you are drinking "A pint of Starbucks Caramel Hot Chocolate" everyday, then you are going to pay the price.

Also, the clue is very much in the name.

Very true. Every photo of a beverage for this season is chocolatey, with some kind of sugary companion (salted caramel being everywhere atm), and lots of whipped cream to ooze fatty indulgence. It’s the season after all

Most of these drinks will disappear soon so I think if you fancy one have one, just don't have 2 or 3. It's all about self control, besides not many people have the budget for more than one.

I agree. The prices are silly. I got a free drink the other day, some fancy latte from Greggs, and indeed it felt like I was drinking more sugar than anything else.

The sugar police do this every single year. We all know that sugar certainly isn't the best for you, but anything in moderation is fine. It's Christmas, so let's have a bit of enjoyment.

the way a lot of our foods have been modified create problems for us. Even with fruit, a lot of it has been cultivated to be sweeter, so there’s higher levels of sugar, which is indeed bad for us when consumed in high quantities

I heard this story on the radio yesterday. 93g of sugar in one drink is ridiculous. I knew they were bad but I'm still shocked. You have to think of it as a dessert rather than a drink.

Sometimes I'm really glad I don't like coffee as it means I don't have the temptation with these. I make up for it by overdoing everything else sugary though!

I mainly have a strong black Americano or matcha latte when I go to coffee shops and I don't add any sugar. Although, I will grab the occasional seasonal drink, such as Pumpkin Spice Latte or Eggnog Latte to mix things up.
