Any Suggestions for Gin?

Ask a Question

My friend is a fan of gin and her booze cabinet has all the usual gins, Hendricks, Whitley, Bombay Sapphire.....so, can anyone suggest any unusual gins?

Parma violet gin is really nice, often called zymurgorium gin 🙂

Iv bought my friend, also a gin lover the clementine M&S gin liqueur. It's in a gorgeous light up bottle. I love it so much Iv asked for it as a present myself. Think it was £18. Heres a link with pic. Also comes in Rhubard flavour.

Aldi also have a decent selection of various gins.

gerrykelly25 I would like to, but not sure I'd want a full bottle. Although, it might be fun to have on Christmas Day.

Some real bizarre flavours, as I like my friend Brussels sprouts are out. 🙂

But the Cherry Blossom one sounds yummy

How about a gin box from the craft gin club or I love gin, assuming that you can buy a one off box rather than a subscription?

Not everyone likes all the flavoured and liqueur gins, last year I bought my boss Sipsmiths gin and he appeared to be genuinely pleased with it after trying.

Have you considered getting your friend a botanicals kit so that they can make it themselves? The kits have everything to flavour a gin lover's concoction.

The kits start at about about £8 and you will have to factor in a bottle of starter gin but they can be fun. Lots of places sell variations but if you get stuck then look on Etsy for Sandy Leaf Farm £7.99 or Muddy Boots Herbal Teas £12. There's even one on this site - https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/deals/best-ever-price-barcraft-gin-making-kit-gift-box-6-pieces-amazon

Tanqueray number ten on offer on Amazon for £25 delivered it’s a gorgeous bottle too and makes a lovely light after. I would play safe as lots of gin lovers don’t like the liqueurs and some purists don’t like flavoured either.

Tanqueray No.Ten Distilled Gin 70 cl https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00429MOW2/

The King of Soho is also lovely and on offer too
