Would a Supermarket Price Comparison Tool Be Useful for You?
Latest Deals
The supermarket price comparison tool by Latest Deals is now ready! We've built it into the Latest Deals app (watch the video).
Get the Latest Deals app:
If you already have the app, update it to the latest version.
You will find the supermarket price comparison tool in the menu of the app, or in the search icon.
The tool is only available in the Latest Deals app, not the website.
What does it do?
Our supermarket price comparison tool searches prices across ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Iceland and Waitrose.
It is an alternative to MySupermarket. We have not yet built all the bells and whistles of MySupermarket. There are no shopping lists etc. Kelsey has been up all day and night coding to get this to where it is for you. We hope this helps people save money!
What about Aldi and Lidl?
We are focusing on supermarkets that offer home delivery. We do not want to encourage people to go to multiple supermarkets at this time. We can look at the feasibility of including Aldi and Lidl at a later date.
Below is the original post:

Hello everyone, would a supermarket price comparison tool be useful for you?
We are trying our hardest to research essential coronavirus products, and do everything in our power to help people at this time.
Side note, see:
- Toilet paper calculator - how much do you really need?
- NHS Freebies - everything free for key workers
One thing I've personally noticed is that supermarkets are offering fewer deals in-store, and prices are creeping upwards.
There doesn't seem to be a good tool that works well to compare supermarket prices so would such a thing be useful if we made it for you?
Technically, it would probably only work with the supermarkets listed above. Let me know your thoughts - the goal is to help people save money to show you where it's cheapest to buy the product.
Update - We're going to do it! And we're going to do it in record time. Sleepless nights, lots of head-scratching, and one beautiful supermarket price comparison tool.
I used to use MySupermarket a lot for this, was really disappointed when it closed down in February.
Yes please as I used to use mysupermarket for comparison but they have now stopped doing this
Totally agree & was gutted when mysupermarket ended (still not sure why, given how fab a service it was).
I'm the same, I really miss mysupermarket, so yes please to supermarket comparison. Thank you.
Yes definitely! Since mysupermarket has been down it's been very time consuming manually checking prices for specific items!
I used mysupermarket for years, I would love to have a similar site to use again. These days we also could use a tool to quickly see which supermarkets are out of delivery slots.
Yes normally we go to several different shops to get good deals but will have to get everything from one to get free delivery
Yes please. I tend to use Heron Foods for a bargain (pack 4 Activa yoghurts 69p rather than £2.50 in Morrisons) only fault is they don't always have the same thing twice.
Yes this would be amazing please! Since the shutdown of mysupermarket have had to look on all websites individually if i want to compare!
It would be great if something could show if they have delivery slots available, because currently no one has.
Yes please. I always buy the best offers in bulk, well I used to. At least I’m working my way through my previous offers.
yes, although I am not sure there are currently any deals or promotions to compare at the moment, but in the future I can see it being used a lot as the mysupermarket site is no more
Yes yes yes. Used to be an app Mysupermarket, just closed couple weeks ago. Loads of people miss it. It was very useful. I used it nearly every day and miss it a lot now.
