What Supermarket Do You Shop In?
Ask a Question
Do you stick to the same supermarket or shop around to find the best deal?
I like to stick with Tesco mainly as out of the ‘main’ supermarkets I prefer their products and think they taste much better than the others! Although we have a Morrison’s down the road from us so often go in there to get top up shops. We get all of our meat from the local butchers and then the cat food on a deal from Farmfoods but these are all local shops. So I guess I do shop around a bit lol! What about yourself?
I shop in Waitrose as I tend to find the best deals and enjoy the atmosphere in their shops.
Before lockdown I probably shopped around more as I would go to Iceland for frozen food, I would pop into Lidl if in town, occasionally go into the local coop when on our walk ifwe needed anything and would go to Morrisons and Tesco. Since lockdown we have shopped at Tesco mainly as they have delivery and click and collect and we can get everything we need. My husband has been into Morrisons when we had to go out for our sons hospital appointment and we have been using our local corner store more. We had been going to our local coop and Sainsburys local at the start of lockdown when we couldn't get a delivery or click and collect, but only my husband would go and only when we had to. Our house is normally well stocked anyway.
Aldi and Sainsburys, but mainly Aldi. What about you? What supermarket do you like to shop in?
More and more I now seem to do my main shopping in Aldi and just pick up a few bits and bobs in Sainsbury's, have a small Co Op a 5 minute walk from my house so just nip in there for bread and milk.
For my main shop I go to Aldi as lower prices for good quality, also pick up bargains from others like Asda and Tesco’s. However during lockdown little Morrisons at local petrol station was a god save... had everything that had sold out in others
Since lockdown I’ve changed supermarkets from Waitrose to Morrison’s. I couldn’t get any delivery slots from Waitrose as I’m not on the vulnerable list and Morrison’s had just started delivering in our area. I’m delighted with Morrison’s service and when I emailed about some fruit they refunded. I will continue with their service as they have been so good.
mostly Aldi now as a new store opened close to me, Tesco for some items and once in a while Asda for a cupboard stock up
Due to work and the convenience it would be Sainsbury and Tesco. It used to be Morrisons alot also due to a previous job. Also, Aldi and farmfoods. How about yourself
I do my shopping in Waitrose as they seem to have the best deals that suit me as well as having friendly staff.
Since this pandemic it has all changed. Tesco was the main supermarket but have only managed to get one delivery slot from them. Have not bought anything from Lidl's for ages and the Aldi being built near to my home and should have opened by now still hasn't opened. It's been Iceland, Morrisons and Sainsburys. The Morrison's delivery service has been pretty useless not delivering the offers and rubbish substitutes, it's been pretty hopeless. Sainsburys have been the best for delivery slots and professional service but some of their prices are not competitive where as others are so resent buying the expensive items there. Although I have had covid 19 so should have some immunity I am in contact with an elderly relative so not keen to go back into the stores for that reason.
I've been using Tesco and sometimes Iceland.
Just managed to get 6 months of any day deliveries for £14 worth of Clubcard vouchers, so it looks like I'll be shopping with Tesco for the foreseeable future.
I used to do Asda and Aldi every week - I would’ve rather done just Aldi but I couldn’t get everything I needed from there... since lockdown, we’ve used Morrisons and Coop more than anything because they had the shortest queues and we’ve definitely felt the strain financially because of it..
I shop in Lidl although there is some branded stuff that I like that they don’t stock like Lloyd gross man bolognaise sauce that I need to get elsewhere
Waitrose as I have to get gliten free food and they do the best vegan cheese ever applewood vegan its sooooo gud also the rude health coconut milk tastes so gud
i shop about depending on what i get or how i'm feeling i sometime go to various shops in a day as some items are much cheaper or better quality in a certain shop
Tesco, but often grab frozen items from Food Warehouse & household items from Home Bargains.
I always do my food shop at either Tesco or Lidl after a bad experience at ASDA's. They are much better value too and taste better. I don't like Morrisons much as most of the food isn't replaced enough and not fresh enough in my opinion. I like Waitrose too they are always so helpful and think they have VERY fresh food . Where do you shop??
I mostly do my shopping in waitrose because of the prices and quality of their items as well as having friendly staff which adds a nice atmosphere to your shopping experience
My main place was ASDA before lockdown but I've found their prices have risen A LOT since.
Mostly Aldi or Asda, right now preferring Asda as we can do click and collect orders so don't have to go in the store
I stick to tesco atm as have to travel by bus and closest for me.
BUT if had a morrisons or waitrose or even sainsbury near me I'd shop there.
I miss being able to shop around these days to get good deals but given current situation it's only way at the moment.
Love Aldi and Lidl for my big shop. Cant go wrong with good deals and cheaper non branded stuff
