Surveys That Dont Make Sense
Competitions
I have just done the survey on top of comp page 1. After asking you to name any ales you can think of (I don't drink so couldn't think of any) the next questions lists a load of ales and asks which you have heard of. Now keeping in mind a previous question asked what I drink and I replied none, it went on to ask which of those i drink! There was no way of moving on without answering. This is a regular occurrence when i do surveys and i cant be the only one who finds there is not an appropriate answer. Very inaccurate way to get information!
Another example......grrrrrr. Had to put my age, well lets say I won't be having any more kids in my 60s. So do I put 2 or none as both mine are adults. Plumped for 0 but next question wanted their ages despite me putting 0. So, I changed it to 2 and put ages as 42 and 44. Guess what? It wouldn't accept. So it seems people of my age aren't meant to go on holiday!
Have to agree with you - there are some really silly surveys out there which you just have to lie in order to proceed. I had a very similar experience just a few days ago asking about how I like chicken, after already pointing out that I didn't eat chicken at all. Not sure what they will get out of it, but as long as I get the reward then thats their problem!
I know what you mean the other day the survey said my email address was not a vailed one. Then i had trouble with my age they said that all so was in vauled. I ws going over and over and it as doing me crackers. Then to be told I did not fit the survey what every that means. I've now stoped doing survey. All they want is your profile. You get nothing.. It's all lies when they say you going to be enter in to a comp or get a sample. I've never got any thing from the survey I've done. And you have to be very care full now a now's with you what's going on. So I've stoped it to be on the safe side.there should be a law against this.
The other thing which encourages you to lie is the drop down box asking where you heard about or received the comp from and then gives you every option except the right one! The world tempus comps are an example of this and just did the chocolate hotel break comp and same thing.
I hate the surveys which say can we connect to your webcam? No. No you may not. My webcam is kept covered at all times. Also hate it when you try and enter a comp and they want you to upload a photo of yourself. Yeah right. Like I'm doing that. What do they want the photo for?
I truly believe some comps/surveys are fixed. Why do they need your age or d.o.b.? It is sufficient to tick 'I am over 18' so I believe they have a certain age criteria for winning fashion clothes, beauty products etc. They don't want an older person winning those things or modern tech or action hols as it is not good for their image. I reckon they toss out all the ones that don't fit their sort of winner and then they pick randomly from those that are left, they can still then truthfully say they have picked a random entry.
I don't do surveys that ask to connect to your webcam either. There is no need for them to have access to my webcam or a photo of me.
Yes I guess so. I am happy (well not exactly happy) to give it in a survey i choose to take part in, but still think it should be off bounds for comps.
The biggest nonsense in surveys when they ask post code, than where do u live and than what city u live near to... I live in the city...
Another cracker of a survey. Just entered a comp for a 2 night break in uk but entry form forced you to complete a cruise survey. Are you new to cruising? No. This is true, have been on 2 many years ago. Do you cruise once twice or 3 or more times a year. First lie, I don't cruise every year but no option for that. Which cruise lines, well mine no longer exist so second lie. Travel agent or direct, cant remember so another lie, name of agent.....yet another lie and on it goes. I tried not answering but won't allow submit unless you do and the blinking prize isn't even for a cruise!
