What do you think of this?+20 points

I hope you haven't got someone in your eye lol. But yes, often wake with a reddened and swollen eye but it goes of it's own accord. But if yours becomes sorer or worse try a chemist first.

Optician told me to bathe with boiled water, hot as possible without burning yourself, morning and night. It could be conjunctivitis or a sure which you can get creams or drops for.

Buy an eye bath if under eyelid and wash it out with cooled boiled water and wipe clean with flannel regularly. Hope it gets better soon.

It could be a stye under the eyelid. They can really irritate the eye. Can take a few days to go.

Leannexxx I'm glad to hear the swelling is done (maybe not a stye then). Could it be hay fever? Occasionally that can cause problems like that but can ease quickly too.

If your eye is sore tomorrow pop into your local optician and they’ll take a look and if necessary advise you to go to your local A&E.

I had frequent conjunctivitis as a child, my mum made tea and gave me the (cooled!) wet teabags to pop on my eyes for a while. It really relieved the soreness.

I'd go to the chemist and buy an eye wash, or speak to the pharmacist, see what they say

There could be another reason L, an insect bite

I had one once , i think i was bitten while asleep and woke up with my eyelid sore and swollen

Luckily it went down a day or two later

I had this think it was a insect bite went really infected really green stuff yuk. I read on NHS website that you boil water add salt let it cool. Then wash eye with cotton wool pads. I wasn't sure about using salt on my eye but it works!
