Is there such a thing as a healthy takeaway? If there is please, please share. I suppose you could have Chinese lettuce with vegetable curry lol!

I suppose chip shop food is the healthiest takeaway food you can have. Whilst it is indeed high in fat, it doesn't contain all of those nasty chemicals which are very common in other takeaways.

If you like pizza, there’s this thing called ‘lo-dough’ it’s pretty expensive but it’s basically a low carb bread substitute that you can make pizza bases with. It’s pretty good stuff I used when I was on a low carb diet. Good luck with the wedding!

LauraStephens You can also make a reliable and tasty pizza base using shredded/blitzed cauliflower - there are several variations but the best is bound with an egg. Good luck with the diet and let us know what worked and what didn't.

Are you following a diet plan or just watching your calories at home? Im doing slimming world and they do lots of fakeaways which are fab, and there are a few choices from chinese and indian you could get that are actually quite low in syns. My wife and i have lost 7 stone between us - 5 stone since January and we usually have takeaway once a week after weigh in as a treat and weve been doing fine 🤣

Im not following any kind of diey plan at the moment.. just makeing lifesyle choices.. so brown bread instead of white.. no fizzy drinks just water.. 1 sugar in my coffee instead of 2.. fruit instead of chocolate ect.. well done to you and your wife! How does slimmers world work? What can you eat/cant you eat? Do you have any recipies that you can share?

LauraStephens your allowed to eat everything but some foods are synned and your only allowed so many syns a day. So everyday your allowed 2 healthy extra A choices - which is basically milk and cheese. So green top milk you can have 250ml as one A (other milks are different amounts) then your allowed 40g grated mozzarella (again different cheese amounts). I usually have cheese and milk or just 500ml milk. Then you allowed 1 healthy B choice which is things like 1 whole meal wrap, pitta or roll, 2 wholemeal bread slices from a small loaf, certain cereals and nuts. I usually have 40g honey cheerios or fruit & fibre for breakfast unless we are having burgers for tea and then il save it for a roll 🤣 Then for your other meals your advised to have 1/3 speed on your plate (which is basically salad or veg), your allowed rice, pasta, potatoes, sw chips (cooked in airfryer or oven like wedges not in oil pan). Your allowed almost all meat as long as you remove skin and fat, only 5% mince is free (not synned). Then your allowed up to 15 syns a day. 1 teaspoon of sugar is 1 syn, i used to have 6 sugars in one coffee 🙊 ive switched to sweeteners which are free. If youve got instagram have a look at my page, i post a lot of my meals on there 🤣

LauraStephens thats a shame... but air fryers can be found cheap online... i use 1 i got for £45 and it uses 1 teaspoon of oil to fry a whole big bag of chips
