A few days ago I used a sharwoods jar of jalfrezi sauce. First I browned onions, cubed cooked potatoes and chicken. I added a tsp of garam masala, turmeric and mild chilli before adding the sauce and during cooking threw in a handful of sultanas, handful of coconut and a couple of large spoons of mango chutney. It was delish!
Try adding a can of Heinz veg soup to stews and casseroles, use a carton of passata with onion, garlic, chilli, bay leaf etc for Bolognese and lasagne and for the lasagne white sauce add a large portion of grated cheese to the jar of white sauce when heating.
