Temperature Change from 16C to -7C in a Day!

The temperatures reached 16C in places to reflect the holiday mood but Monday saw them drop to -7C as an 'Artic barrage hits' the UK.
OMG it feels like winter again!
Good old British weather strikes again. No wonder we all enjoy talking about it so much. 
RegularComper90 we just love to talk about the British weather! One wonders why we we still surprised?!!! 
Had slight rain to start with, then a flutter of snow. Then the sun came out so put the washing on the line and it the weather became cold. As for British weather, like Woody Allen said: 'Four seasons, all in one day'.

We had snow yesterday (greater london) which felt really odd as on Sunday we were having drinks in the garden in the sun. Go figure.
with plenty of wind and a dash of snow again in the North West today! β
My rhubarb is looking dead cos of the horrendous winds and I guess the bumble bees and butterflies that ventured out have really suffered .... I am FREEZING ... my nose and hands especially (and knee caps lol)...and that's indoors ... 
! You're right it's not good at all! Despite trying to move up and down the stairs a little more its hard to get warm and keep warm! Plan B is to get my hot water bottle out!
We re-wrapped our tree ferns as we were told that we would get -7 overnight - there isn't even a frost!
I shot out and rescued what I could .... covering with whatever I could find .... we need rain to counteract the awful incessant drying winds too.
tumblespots you're lucky then! Did you feel the cold at all though? ... like we did in the north west!?
SAdeals We are very unsure how long this cold snap will last so when do we let the tree ferns out again? Wouldn't it be lovely if they actually did the job they were paid for and got the forecast right!

We had a tiny bit of snow yesterday, then the sun came back out. Just been outside today and it is snowing again!
it just cannot make its mind up! I remember on Good Friday afternoon, I was outside in a T shirt! !

Today feels even colder than yesterday in Essex.
I think the bluebells that were starting to show last week have taken one look and tried shrinking back into the ground.

Lol itβs proper British weather - it was chilly yesterday, but was quite sunny...and the snow came down! Was so funny to see
