Tesco to take hit of up to £925m due to coronavirus
Totally did not expect this . If one of the countries largest retailer who has been trading throughout , expects loses like this, the future after the pandemic doesn't look good for other retailers, especially the ones that have had to shut up shop completely at the moment
Wow! Bit of a shocker! I suppose now it's down to online delivery orders and if you can't get it from your shop of choice you move on to the next seller who has a slot. The effects of this are going to impact us for years.
I don't understand this as a while ago they were rubbing their hands with glee at the huge profits they were making through people overbuying and stockpiling.
I thought so to but it appears that Clothing and fuel sales are both down 70 per cent , Household & electrical sales also down and their wholesalers Booker suffered after restaurants were forced to close . Tesco also hired around 45,000 employees to cope with soaring demand, driving the increase in retail costs.
I’m shocked. I thought their trade was higher due to the virus and no one dining out. I’ve had problems, like many others, getting a delivery slot.
