What Do You Think of Homemade Gifts?

Do you like receiving them? Gift them?
Or do you prefer store bought gifts?
I think the best gifts ever. My daughter is very small and she can not buy things yet, so make her draw something for everyone. I used to make a lot of homemade gifts, like glass paints....
I like handmade gifts. It shows the person cares and has taken time to make something for you. I have been given a number of knitted items and they are wonderful.
Definitely home made gifts We always exchange home made gifts and I love the surprise. It gets harder every year but we set a budget and it helps not only keep costs down but you get to have fun creating something.
Like to receive and like to give handmade - every time. My god-daughter makes amazing things and always makes up a beautiful hamper of home creations - candles, soaps, necklaces and food items like pesto, chutneys etc . I'm not very artistic but like to cook so give foodie things, peanut butter, lime and lemon curd, toffee, truffles, honeycomb etc. (Must confess do have a few mis-shapen, garishly painted pottery bits that are hidden in the depths of a cupboard though )
Having a 3D printer (well, multiple) I have made gifts with these, which are fab and people love them!
A few examples below...
Some things you'd never find in a shop!
The best gifts come from the heart. Most homemade items are made with the receiver in mind, so they’re great. I like making cards - better then just buying generic cards from shops
