Everything is good if done in limit but the moment u overdo something that’s bad.... it feels good to shop but we should not make it an addiction Image

Yes - psychology has proven that endorphins are released when shopping - online and in store and especially when hunting for bargains.. so the happy chemicals in your brain can make it addictive

Yes, I do think that people can become addicted to shopping. I like to shop but I wouldn't say I am addicted to it as I browse more than make an actual purchase.

Yes they absolutely can. It is due to rush they get from buying an item and receiving it. I'm the opposite, I only shop when I absolutely need to and will spend as little as possible as I hate spending money if I don't have too. One of the most used phrases in our house is "it's an unnecessary expense". I've never really enjoyed shopping.

I feel like I go through stages of impulsive buying, just for the sake of something being a good deal and thinking I might like it. Luckily a few things I have purchased I have sold on and made a tiny profit 😂

AliceBell64468 it’s very difficult to resist yourself from buying stuff which are at really low price 😀

I would definitely say bargain hunting is addictive. I always feel a buzz when I find something I'm looking for at a good price

I've become addicted to avoiding it, I'm currently looking for a dress with an 18 year old and I'm wanting to pull my finger nails out

I definitely think people can become addicted to shopping. It is hard to say no to a bargain, expecially around Christmas when everything seems to be on offer

Yes I know for a fact some people use it as some form of stress and mental release. Sometimes they end up spending a bit too much, but that is how they cope. I guess getting therapy maybe even more expensive

Yes it's possible. I wouldn't say I'm an addict as I spend within my means now & have no debt. That hasn't always been the case tho & I had to learn the hard way. I do still enjoy buying things & definitely spend more on home/beauty & clothing items than I need to. The last few months especially, but only what I can afford.

Absolutely they can! I used to love a good mooch around the shops but under current circumstances online shopping is more appealing at the moment. I do have to keep myself in check .... so easy to see how some people could get themselves into financial trouble! 🛍
