Thoughts on the Tier System
Ask a Question
whatdya guys think? is it silly or do you think its genuine because theres diffrent opinions
Makes sense , although very difficult to persuade many . And hard to draw the boundaries .
For instance Devon and Cornwall , East Anglia for instance have very low rates so makes sense to allow them to keep working and earning to help their local economy keep limping along and thus provide support indirectly for the high infection areas .
What is totally unhelpful is turning it into a political argument , there will be plenty of time when its beaten to apportion blame . Now is a time to accept and comply with what we are told to do and get on with it .
Doing that will save many lives . Playing the blame game will not save a single life and indeed it will cost many thousands !
If the "entitled generation " really think they can improve the situation by holding drunken street parties in our cities (massive spreading !) and then claim the exponential spread of the virus "is all the Tories fault " then I think they need educating in common sense - not Media studies or whatever Uni course they are on !
In Theory it should work but when you have a moron at the helm then what hope do we have? Whats not helpful is just blaming the younger generation when its ALL GENERATIONS! Also if you think the government is doing a good job then you need to get a MRI.
Andy Burnham is fame seeking and if people want to be treated as adults they should act like adults. I still think you are a teen as I said on your previous topic and as you have not refuted it or replied to comments I think my gut feeling is correct.
I agree he is an idiot. I wonder if he had same personal situation as mayor of liverpool (his brother recently died of covid) he would still feel the same
Imnotcheap the Mayor of Liverpool is actually supporting Andy Burnham and the cross Party politicians in the North West who are trying to get a decent support package for the working class people who will be furloughed or lose jobs due to the imposition of Tier 3.
I'm not an expert but we do need to do something to salvage this dreadful situation and I don't know of anything that would work better than tier system. Even here in tier 3 still can get on with life just carefully
I do not think it works in the UK...because lots of people do not take it seriously. Some do not even know what each tier means.
Some still party on the street...not in 6 but in 3...I mean Pandemic, max last 2 years, we have no super stuff to prevent it, just the same ways like in the dark ages, which means u stay home whenever u can.
And in London u can not distance in some places...one of them is school drop off standing in lines to get the reception kids into class.
Also the area where I live is high risk now, which means we should be tier 3 but we are tier 2...
