Use a glass, ceramic, metal bowl instead of plastic.

Walks in evening and early morning instead of the middle of the day

Dogs that are white, hairless light fur are more likely to burn u can put sunscreen. U can buy cooling water bowls and mats !

For smaller animals put ice and cold water in hot water bottle and put an old sock or blanket over it, keep all animals out of sun light. Feel free to comment some more ideas 😊

to my knowledge, you shouldn’t put ice into a dogs water bowl - they need room temperature water as cold water can shock their stomach and cause bloat / twisted stomach. if the bowl is kept out of direct sunlight, the water should be cool enough for them to drink without needing ice

sarahgreen15 Wow! I never knew that.

I've been struggling trying to pay for my dog's food, but then again, my partner has just spent £1000 on the credit card buying stuff.

I fill an empty tub of ice cream with dog treats and then fill the rest with water then put it in the freezer and my dog seems to love it.

that's a great idea I saw my friend do this on snapchat with her dog and never thought to try it myself

When taking them for a walk when it’s hot, place the back of your hand on the path for five seconds. If it is uncomfortable for you, it will burn the dogs paws.

You can buy pet sunscreen from the vet for easy to burn areas such as the dogs ears.

We usually keep them inside in the shade and have a medium sized usb fan running and make sure their water bowl topped up

I walk the dog very early in the morning then late at night so she is out of the sun and the door of the house is open all day, I also put the paddling pool out so she is free to go in and out all day. I make ice lol for her to with apple juice fruit and biscuits in and a tripe stick, just remember the 5 second rule if the ground is to hot for your hand it’s too hot for the dogs paws and if it’s a white dog put sun cream on the sensitive areas I just use kids sensitive sun cream

Where are you where you need to keep animals cool ?! We are over half way through August and I am still waiting for a hot day. My problem is keeping my animals dry!
