Always shop at aldi etc. Stops you buying all those extras as they dont sell alot.
Also do a meal planner for the week, dont have to be boring but it helps get all you need.
Get the family involved and do a meal plan giving everyone a choice and make your list from that (I write my list as if I am walking around .. fruit and veg is top of the list as its by the door, wine at the bottom as it's the last aisle which saves so much time). Don't stroll the aisles, most of us know where things are in our regular supermarket, go straight to the item you want and then move on to the next.
