Today I Learned to Make My Own Mayonnaise. What's Something You Want to Learn?

Other

The reason for this is because I'm doing sugar free February and I decided to make my own sauce after not finding any in the shops that don't have sugar in it. It was surprisingly easy. Now I want to make more things. How about you? Anything you've tried that was surprisingly easy or something you want to try and do?

Knitting. I have the needles and some wool to practise with. I haven't got the time it would appear and I'm going to run out of time as I wanted to learn and make a scarf before April. After April 1st, I tend to be very busy with the garden. Lots of veg and herbs to grow, repotting, making the raised beds, water etc. Once April hits all my spare time will be going on the garden. It might end up having to wait until October and I put the garden back to bed.

GlitchHunter I love seeing the seeds germinate that's my fave bit really. I like looking after the plants. I don't have kids so to me it is like having a garden full of babies that need looking after as they will die if I don't tend to them. I feel needed in the summertime LOL!

ShellyAnn Lol.. I do feel like that about my one house plant. It's an orchid. It's flowering well! 😃

GlitchHunter That's great. I don't get on too well with orchids. I do tend to kill those sadly. I sometimes think I have too many to really look after all my house plants well. I've got 11 in the living room where I am right now. That's just the living room. There's plants in every room accept the kitchen purely due to no room on the window sill there as I have a tiny box kitchen.

I would love to take up crafts like making greetings cards, candle making etc. so that when I (finally) retire I will have something to keep me busy and maybe a small income.

That's a really good idea. I've done scrapbooking in the past and it's really fun. Not too expensive. I'm sure you could do some in your spare time.

I keep meaning to make my own hummus but haven’t found a simple recipe yet. I have a good blender so no excuse really, I’m just plain lazy!

Yes. You can buy it in Sainsbury or Tesco. It goes a long way so you can make it lots of times with one small jar of Tahini.

YOU GO GLEN COCO!! You can do this! Plus once you start making it, you'll save so much money. 🙂 Add chilli for a nice kick or caramalised onions is good too.
