What Toothpaste Do You Use for Sensitive Teeth?

Ask a Question

What's the best toothpaste for sensitive teeth? I tried all sorts. Sensodyne is ok but it's not a miracle... I kinda liked arm&hammer the one with bicarb soda in it. Tried natural one with coconut oil etc but the taste is horrible 😂😂which one do you use?

Tbh I don’t think they work. Sensodyne made my teeth even more sensitive so I just went back to my normal Colgate toothpaste and didn’t bother trying anything else lavbelled for sensitive teeth. But since using the oral irrigator/water floss I don’t get those kind of problems anymore

hspexy that's interesting. I seen them on sale but thought is it really that good or just a fluke. How does it work?

jurgita0712 you’re literally jet spraying between your teeth, and I’ve found it more effective than flossing, mainly as I have issues reaching the back teeth. It gets rid of bits that often cause inflamed gums, which I don’t have issues with anymore. I recommend them

I've tried them all but the only one that has any results for me is Colgate Pro Relief. My dentist suggested it a couple of years ago and it's one I continue to use.

I have used sensodyne for years. I find it works very well after an initial 'sting'. I don't know if many people know but you are not meant to rinse your mouth after brushing, just spit out excess and wipe mouth.

Sensodyne rapid relief is good as it works straight away. Colgate Pro active is really good too. Also Oral B gum purify. Toothpastes with potassium nitrate in them are ideal for those with sensitive teeth. Plz avoid anything that suggests to whiten your teeth .. even in sensitive formula's.. as they generally contain very abrasive ingredients, which weaken enamel which then causes even more sensitivity.

I like Macleans but it seems to be disappearing from shelves but I wouldn't say it was a sensitive toothpaste more of an aggressive cleaning toothpaste. I find sensitive toothpaste like sensodyne ineffective at cleaning.

Arm & hammer sensitive works and is usually £1.50.
