What Are Your Top 3 Favourite Books?
Ask a Question
I'm going on holiday in a few weeks and want some recommendations for poolside reading. So... what are you top 3 favourite books?
My top 3 (which is ever changing) are:
The Girls by Emma Cline - about a young girl who joins a cult in 1969 America, loosely based on the Manson murders
Three Wishes by Lianne Moriarty (and pretty much anything else she's ever written) - about three triplets turning 30 and their lives, loves and losses.
and The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood (and again pretty much everything else she's ever written especially The Heart Goes last which is another favourite of mine) - Feminist dystopian novel about the near future in America where fertility rates have dramatically dropped the the fascist government that takes over. I feel like unless you've been living under a rock for the past year you've probably seen the tv adaption (which I also love) advertised.
So what about you? Tell me your faves
The Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon, there are 8 so far but I am counting them as 1 choice lol.
Masters of War series of books by David Gilman, again set of 5. Peasant rises to knight at battle of Crecy and is expected to die after being knighted on battlefield but survives and tells of his subsequent adventures.
Finally, Sunne in Splendour by Sharon K. Penman about the war of the roses.
I love all of the Harry Potter books - I enjoy rereading them and have lost track of how many times I have read them
The harry potter books, twilight books, the hunger games, 50 shades of grey. I need to have a look what im going to download in my kindle actually as im going on holidays in 5 days
