Totally Confused about Covid Rules
Ask a Question
My cousin and hubby both tested positive for COVID-19.
She has subsequently returned 2 negative results, but he's still positive. She's going around if there's nothing wrong
Considering that her husband is positive, is this right?
If someone is fully vaccinated, is testing negative & displaying no symptoms then they do not have to isolate even if members of their household are positive. However any unvaccinated people must isolate whilst they AND there household are positive. This is the rules in England as I understand them, it may possibly differ in Wales.
Tho she may not be breaking any rules, morally I believe people should isolate at least as much as they are able too until everyone in household is negative.
Glitterandgold I don't get it
Even though she's now negative, she can do what she wants even though the husband is still positive?
TheChimp Yes. Assuming she has completed her 10 days isolation since she first tested positive.
If she is fully vaccinated, has done her 10 days isolation, is showing no symptoms and has tested positive then yes she can go out. If she hasn't been vaccinated or has only had one vaccine then she needs to isolate until he tests negative.
I personally think that if someone is testing positive then everyone in the house should isolate until everyone tests negative.
The whole thing is a shambles TC , nobody in authority knows what they are doing
How can there be one rule in wales , for example, and different rules in say england and scotland, the virus must be very clever to adapt to each region differently
The thing is that she hasn't self isolated for 10 days after testing positive. As soon as she got a negative result, she was out the door.
Three people in my house tested positive and two tested negative. The ones that did not test positive went about school and work as normal, it made them very nervous. They tested each morning and tried to keep distance, such a change after the last year.
There may well be some rules in place but the government have pretty much left it to people to do whatever they think is best, and to just pretend its all gone away. Hardly anyone wears a mask in shops and on buses these days so those of us who have to keep isolated have even less options. I am actually going out next week for a very rare trip - to get my booster jab. I am hoping its not going to be raining so I can walk. We even walk to the hospital to and from my wifes chemotherapy sessions as she does not feel safe on public transport. We can only protect ourselves, society has decided its no longer a problem.
Its all madness there has been 8 people in my daughters class who have tested positive and she can still go into school I'm testing her daily of my own back because I'm so worried she will catch it
Kary Mullis, the PCR Inventor clearly stated:
Took me a moment to find this video as YouTube has hidden it in the bottom.
I'm confused by the rules one of my sons was told to isolate last year because of someone in his class being positive and I was told I had to take his brother in I think the powers that me are making it up as they go along
I think it's all wrong...if you've seen my other comments on similar topics I was very confused too. We've all recently had covid. My 11 year old was 1st to get it but after 10 days and a negative result he was allowed to go back into school...even though the rest of us were positive and really unwell at home! We kept testing him daily. I went out today for the 1st time as I had to collect prescriptions and other erronds (we're past our 10 days now and testing negative) but I felt so vulnerable...hardly anyone wears masks now (I know it's personal choice) and very little social distancing. I fear we'll be in lockdown again christmas/new year.
