Has anyone heard of trading 212 or even tried it? Keep seeing ads for it and was curious to see what it actually is.

I believe it is a competitor to eToro where you can buy stocks. https://brokerchooser.com/broker-reviews/trading-212-review

Not sure. You could try creating a chat thread about it that way more people might see it and maybe someone will be able to answer your question.

I need some advice from someone before I do anything.

Have you heard of a website called isa.co.uk ? Maybe read some information on there. They have information about different types of ISAs including Investment ISAs. It might be a safer way to handle your money than investing in individual businesses. If a business goes under then it doesn't matter as spreading your risk across many businesses from different sectors lowers the damage that you get from the hit. Maybe get some professional advice from you bank or financial investment advisor.

I signed up for it a while back, they give a free share when you sign up with a referral. I have a few shares in there.

If you don't know what this is, it's best to stay aloof, or at the very least, study the stock market a lot before trying your luck and risking your money.

Yes, my son recommend them to me and subsequently I have bought about £200 worth of shares, over the last 6 months, I think they are worth about £216 but it does warn you that shares can go down as well as up, currently the stock market are down. I only buy a few at a time.
