How does everyone get around daily? Do you drive? Walk? Train? Taxi? I drive and couldn’t live without my car. How do other people manage?
My job involves being driven around all day by a driver taking children in care to and from contact. However, I get more exercise than the driver as I am in and out of the vehicle bending and stretching putting all size of children in all types of car seats , carrying newborns and older babies in cradles to and from the car, some extremely heavy. So I guess that is a form of exercise. When I finally retire I will have to think more about walking.
Well i would use public transport a lot more if it wasn't so poor and expensive, so car it is.
I live in the middle of nowhere so have to have a car or be imprisoned, I could walk 3 miles to the local bus stop but they stop fairly early and run infrequently. I will catch the train for work purposes but only in first class, so I can work on the train
When I was growing up we lived in the middle of nowhere there was a bus once a week on a Wednesday morning if it turned up. soon as I turned 17 I had no choice but to drive. The nearest shop was 2 miles away and had to walk down dark country lanes wasn’t ideal
Faye1 great fun isn't it? I wasn't living here when I turned 17 but couldn't wait to start driving, so glad I did now. Amazes me though that very few people drive round here, so are practically imprisoned
Drive to work. Walk places if close. Often use public transport to get to big cities.
Sadly I live in the middle of nowhere but as i'm disabled and don't have a car I rarely leave the house as the bus is once an hour and never comes on time.
If you live in a rural and/or remote area, you realize your only means of transportation is a car/truck so if you can't drive one (even with a temporary license you need to have someone who actually has a driving license) then you'll have a painful time walking. What would take 5mins instead takes 30mins or even 1hr.

As a live in carer I don't go out much but when I do it's mainly busses or taxi or if it's a short distance I'll walk
My wife and I both have a car. I hate public transport because i just dont like being around strangers and am socially awkward. I also hate walking 
Haha thats like me. I don’t use public transport and I hate walking. where I live now the shop is literally round the corner but I will still drive
Cari refuse to use taxis in my area. The companies give such terrible service.
Buses in my area also doubled in price last year

Where i live we are quite lucky with taxis they don’t cost a ridiculous amount. Think we are one of the only citys that don’t have Uber because they are expensive compared to the taxis
I drive if going into our local town to go to the supermarket or my sons playgroup that is too far to walk to,. I walk places with my son if it is close enough and get the bus into the city on the rare occasions that I go. Haven't gotten a train in about 6 years.
I ride my push scooter to work, most of it is downhill until the end and it is a steep hill. As I finish late and it is dark I always get a lift home.
I have no choice to use public transport I usually use buses. I have epilepsy which restricts me from driving for the time being.
I often walk into town & the local shops, occasionally I will get the bus back from town. Everywhere else I drive.
I live out in the middle of nowhere so I rely on my car to get to and from work, public transport is too expensive to be an option.
Mainly car and walking although planning to cycle a lot more in the future. I only use the train when there is an offer like a london return fare for £20-25. Only when I go to a place with a park and ride do I really use buses. Often if I go to Weymouth in the summer I'll park at the park and ride and walk to the beach rather than use the bus as its a beautiful walk and walk back as well. Means I've spent nothing on parking and even saved being caught in traffic jams wasting fuel. This year I'm hoping to have a beater bike ready that I can cycle in from the park and ride and lockup while on the beach but also use it to venture further afield. No way would I use a decent bike as I've seen people eyeing up people's bikes previously when locked up. I'll use a too crap to steal bike that won't generate enough income for a fix if they steal it.
I bet it’s lovely to ride a bike around Weymouth and go to the beach. and not only will it save money it’s great exceeded as well
Faye1 I remember as a child of about 13-14 setting off for Weymouth on my racing bike with a friend but we only got as far as Dorchester as we were knackered by the ride and knew we had to ride back so couldn't do Weymouth. That's as close as I've got to cycling in Weymouth so far. There are a few cycling videos on youtube of people cycling in Weymouth that are quite motivating.
I drive most places. We live in the countryside and have no other options. I prefer it generally as I hate waiting around for public transport. I travel a bit for work meetings and will drive to the station to get the train if I have to go somewhere far. I find driving far less stressful though.

I use car and train I drop my child at nurser and leave my car near the train station and get the train to/from work. I used to get the bus everywhere but since I passed my test and got my car I grudge getting the bus unless I really need to
I walk a lot especially to the supermarket as its very close. However day to day I drive to my local train station (10 mins) jump on the train (another 10 mins) and then a quick five minute walk to my workplace
