Turbo Sparklers Recalled after Explosion and Burn Reports

In the News

Sparklers sold across England have been recalled after reports of them exploding in people's hands and leaving them with burns.

One man from Lincoln said his Turbo Sparkler "went up faster than petrol" when it was lit, others said they had also been burned.

More strain on our nhs. In a country so obsessed with health and safety I am surprised fireworks of any kind are still on sale. Public displays only would be my idea going forward.

Every year that are 'accidents', some of them life changing, and frequently they take place in private gardens where far less care is taken. People don't value their own safety and then complain bitterly about safety afterwards. 🐞

I agree with public displays only. For safety reasons and also for my sanity: since Diwali there's fireworks every single night in my neighbourhood. The constant noise is slowly driving me crazy!

gaelle0501 That is a pain in a built up area. I feel for you. Have you considered ear plugs to help deafen the bangs? 🐞

Don't worry - I won't tell. You can't have too many reminders about being careful with fireworks πŸš€ 🐞
