I think it's rubbish. I rarely watch tv and when I do I watch sky channels, not BBC. Tv licence should be scrapped.

Hi Tasha042 I think the tv licences should be free. We pay enough on other things. 🐧

nicolajaynehend definitely. They earn enough money from advertising, they don't need the money anymore. It's just greed 😆

Hi Tasha042 I would like to see packages deals. Like you get with sky. Only pay for what you want. That would be a lot cheaper and easier. Then we would have no tv licence. 🐧

TV License is not required if you don't watch BBC stuff or live TV.

There can be like 100 live channels but even so, none of them have anything I'd want to watch. Netflix has shows and movies I know I'd want and it's not live TV.

Quality > Quantity

More and more are becoming aware of that - it probably won't be until over 90% of people do that it will be considered that if we need a national broadcaster - it should be financed from taxes and the totally unfair licence fee is abolished.

Totally unfair because the BBC receive all licence fee revenue even if the licence payer doesn't want to watch its programmes.

davidstockport I agree. I much prefer sky channels anyway. BBC doesn't interest me at all. Licenses need to be scrapped.

Cancelled mine in november when it was due to be renewed and I'm not missing it. I use the net and there's plenty to watch from documentaries, old films to tips on saving money, gardening. I made a wormery on Wednesday after watching some videos on it. I expect the jumps will get bigger as more and more people cancel their licenses to continue to pay the salaries of the BBC presenters.

Shellyann you did right cancel your tv licenses. The tv is full of rubbish. I bet you feel happier. 🐧

nicolajaynehend I certainly do, plus I really didn't have the £150 when it as due. My parents have sky so they record the odd show I might want to see and I watch it at their house when I visit. Since November I've watched 3 BBC shows there and 2 non BBC shows so I'm not a big tv person. It really was a waste of money for me - as was Sky. I didn't miss that either when I got rid of it.

nicolajaynehend she did but a lot of people feel scared that if they cancel or don't pay the TV License they'll receive threats.

Most just pay because they think by having a TV it makes it necessary. What a rip-off.

I rarely use mine, these days I've only turned it on to play a game for 10min and then off again.

Hi ShellyAnn I think a lot of people are going to not renew there tv licenses this year. Why can't we pay for what we want like you do with sky. BBC is rubbish any way. They put on the same all the time. I would not miss the BBC. That's so lovely of your parents to record some shows for you. 🐧

Yes. The BBC should put more adverts between some programmes that are not mainstream to male up the gap.

It takes 22,000 of paying residents to pay for Gary Lineker and Chris Evans wages. Get rid of em instead. £1.67m each

I think it should be optional so if you want BBC channels then you have to pay if not then you don't. But then again I don't think BBC would have any viewers if that was to happen
