Has the TV Program "Who Do You Think You Are?" Inspired You ?
Ask a Question
My husband and I love watching this programme. My husband has traced his family name back to 1759 but I don't want to find out my family tree as I don't want to know about any skeletons in the cupboard. What do you think?
I would love to do family tree but it's one thing I never get time for. Should do it though longer I wait less people to ask
This is something I would definitely like to do. I'm very interested in history anyway so finding out more about my family would interest me.
I couldn't care less about my family history. I don't have any interest in finding out about them. I'm interested in history, but not my own families. Plus I don't think anyone will be as interesting as my grandparents!
I've heard a lot about this show, but I've never watched an episode, so I don't think I have a lot of interest in familiy trees and that kind of thing.
My husband has done his family tree and now does it for friends as he loves doing the research. My aunty has done my Mums side but I have no interest in doing my Father side of the tree, a case of letting sleeping dogs lie.
I've been researching for years, thought I had an unusual surname to find out it changed depending on the 'education' level of the person writing the information. Dads side I'm stuck late 1700 because I can't follow the Irish records. Mums back to mid 1400 when cousins married. I'm doing my Partners tree and guess what, he's also got the aforementioned cousins! I also did the tree for my ex but didn't tell him of his royal connections (he was bad enough to live with without that information). There are some very good Cornish records free on line.
