Twitter to Cull Inactive Users

In the News

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-50567751

Just a heads up - Twitter will begin deleting accounts that have been inactive for more than six months, unless they log in before an 11 December deadline

most likely if you’ve not been using it the past 6 months, you’re unlikely to use it in the future

Seems fair enough. In my experience you either use twitter at least once a day, or not at all.

Twitter and facebook the burglars friend. People have the urge to post where and what they are doing all the time

Same here. I don’t think I’ll ever understand the need to tweet. I think I did it once to complain, as the company would only receive correspondence via Twitter, but other than that, I find it redundant

I deleted my account in 2018, but before that I looked into deleting every tweet.

Seems fair enough they should do the same for other social media networks like Instagram and facebook too

I wouldn't miss it. It is so easy to open social media accounts these days, some who open multiple accounts, so it is something the operators ought to do now and again

Yes some people do have multiple for different purposes. I guess it’s always good to try and tidy the system
