No.

It's a shame that you have to listen to made up crap instead of original artists

TheChimp Thanks for your reply, I tend to agree with you regarding original artists, but a lot of the AI generated songs are actually written by amateur songwriters, who may never get to hear the production of their own lyrics, like myself I've been writing songs and poetry for many, many years and have never had to opportunity to do anything with them and thought that AI could be the way forward.

pato I don't understand. Are you saying that AI is writing your music without your input?

I've only really used AI for medical things, but I was curious how advanced it was recently. DR Congo we were doing well in the football world cup and I asked AI if it would write me an idea called 'Doctor Congo: The Exploits'

It came up with an entire screenplay which was scary because it was like a Cool Runnings film.

TheChimp I write songs and input the lyrics onto the App, I just need to add what genre style and whether I want a male or female voice, instruments etc. it allows me to hear what my creations would sound like in different styles, it's a very clever tool but could be scarily dangerous if you upload your own voice.

I haven't even thought of listening to AI music.

My taste in music is so wide, I have trouble deciding what to listen to without adding yet more to the equation!

I belong to a well-being choir and our choir master has asked on our WhatsApp group for new songs we can sing next term. There are so many songs that I like, I'm completely stumped for an answer and haven't replied yet.

AlysonC I only stumbled upon the AI music whilst I was listening to You Tube and thought that I might put a few of my own lyrics into Suno to find out how the songs turned out, to be honest I was quite impressed but as TheChimp mentioned, I think it will interfere with production from real artists.

pato How nice that you've written lyrics anyway.

I finally made a choice for our choir yesterday, and chose The Impossible Dream from Man of La Mancha as I thought that it would be an uplifting song for a well-being choir to sing, even though the film made me cry, as did the stage production starring Kelsey Grammer and Nicholas Lyndhurst.

I too have very eclectic tastes but find most of the AI music all too samey after a while. Music is so much more than just notes, mechanical formulae ,plagiarised ideas and automated artistes.

I honestly can't stand AI voices as they sound too robotic and it's easy to tell them apart from human voices.

This song was made using AI based on a real, living musician so there's an exception as to why it's actually good.

He didn't use his voice because he was too lazy to do so, he lost the ability to speak.

I have gone nowhere near AI yet but I daresay there will come a time. I have car radio permanently set on Classic fm but indoors I mostly listen to YouTube music, Dan Vasc is a current favourite and I often listen to Viking stuff from Peyton Parish who is part of Miracle of Sound, Keith Green, Home Free etc.

There's a been a few AI videos I've listened to where the AI had attempted to sound like a various band. Usually the singing is pretty good, but the music is a bit off. I've had a listen to see just how good the AI can be. Honestly, I only listen to real bands. I hate the way AI is forced on us all. I fear for jobs for humans including musicians. I listen to pop, dance, rock, a bit of hip hop and rap and a tiny bit of jazz.

No i wouldn't listen to AI music. I like the whole experience of fandom. The concert, following on social media.

This may be unpopular but I like the music more when artists are nice people

Perhaps I’m just being old fashioned, but I can’t stand the idea of being a consumer of AI content - I don’t even like letting the computer do a spell/grammar check on anything I’ve written, as I prefer to proof read & edit myself. When it comes to creative work, AI will be the death of truly original work, & that day when we are no longer individuals with our own thoughts will come (dreary thought, I know lol)

It won't be long before we see robot performers , now that will be heavy metal bands 😬

I'm not interested in it but I did hear a song and didn't realise it was AI until I looked into it one day. It wasn't bad either. Tbh though nowadays so many singers change their voices when in the studio recording that it's hard to tell what's real or not anymore.
