Has your city/ town got a nickname for its residents ? If so what is it and why ... Wigan were we from are called pie aters... aters as said 8ers ... meaning eaters ... so it means people who eat lots of pies . Coz at half time in the rugby or footie we always get a warm pie plus the town has lots of pie shops ... we also get called the tics after or footie team .. Wigan athletic ... n a warrior coz of rugby team are called warrior s. Xx
