UK Sizes vs Foreign Sizes

In Britain we are not all the same size , and when I look at some of the lovely clothing on Amazon it frustrates me when I see something that is shown as XXL only to find its only a size 14/16 That people, is Not extra extra large
Am a 12 and the clothing shown on amazon am a xl some xl have still been too small its same with any china store too
I've not been a size 12 since I was in my 40s but I would feel insulted. I'm a bit more voluptuous now lol
I have experienced this as well. Not just online. When I go shopping in Primark I find their sizes are smaller than what it says and other stores in UK as well.
Probably best to avoid Asian stuff. Their sizes are way off our sizes - they're a lot smaller than us.
Asian sizes are laughably small but it's not a joke when you order something and then it's too small. I ordered a kimono once from AliExpress, it fit me as it was like a one size for all.
Rockman there are some bargains to be had but sizing can be so off it's ridiculous. I have had an amazing pair of gloves from Aliexpress though and really wish I'd bought more - they're very warm, smart and in an unusually hard to find colour, but they won't last forever and are no longer in stock
Yeah the asian sizes are a couple smaller than the UK and the US sizes are one bigger. I only buy if they are clear on the UK size
yeah....I know what u mean...Chinese clothing have different sizing and need to get like 3-4 size bigger than the UK size
It’s down to where the clothing is made, and in Asia, 14/16 is considered xxl- it reminds me of the time my friend went to Hong Kong, and all she was able to buy were shoes, as all the clothes were too small!
