Not entirely sure why it isn’t being done, as it seems like a quick and relatively cheap way to clean the streets while it’s still quiet - I’ve seen footage of streets being cleansed in other countries, but I’ve yet to see anything done in my area (although I’m proud that my council are still collecting rubbish, as I know neighbouring boroughs have stopped doing regularly bin runs)
I think this is a great idea! Might make things a bit safer afterwards when we are allowed out..it might make sure the ones nipping out every 5minutes, don't, as well
Yes we definitely do. Even the police used them to scout out remote areas for people not keeping to the current rules, like the dog walkers in the Peak District. But it’s about getting the right drone operators on board
It's certainly an interesting idea and would definitely keep the operators safe instead of being carried out manually. Who knows what measures will have to be taken to make certain areas safe in the near future?
I can't think of a reason why this isn't a good idea. It sounds like the way forward as my biggest fear is venturing out when this is supposedly over. I wouldn't rule out a second wave if people suddenly all start cuddling and going out when lockdown is lifted. I believe the plagues in middle ages had second waves.
Yes, you’re right. And most viruses mutate so it’s definitely about learning new protocols to keep the public safe. I’d prefer the drones carrying out such tasks as there’s no health risks to them
Mainly the one that have contracts with Veolia, as there was a pay dispute going on since the beginning of this year
