Do You Use Libraries?
Other
I hadn't been to one in years but the children's section in my local one is nice to visit on a rainy day. My toddler loves it and will happily sit there for an hour bringing me books to read to him. It's got him so much more interested in books and I've learnt which types he likes!
I visited one that I hadn't been to in years but only stayed there for a few minutes, then left. It does have its use, if you don't have internet, the books needed, silence at home or a computer to use then it's great.
Although, PDF/eBooks for convenience are kinda killing physical books but a book I want to own? Has to be physical. Don't like to buy digital books.
I don’t use our library these days but my husband does. He orders books he would like online and collects once it’s arrived. Our library offers events too which I’m afraid to admit doesn’t appeal to me but it offers good services for the community. However I feel it’s over staffed these days with less people going in so inevitably at some point the council will realise and make cuts.
I used to go to the library regularly but I used to get charged as I forget to renew it. Now you also have to pay not renew it. I don't like the library system anymore so I don't go to it often.
I know what you mean. I only get kids books out now as I know they don't charge fees for those!
I used to go every week and pick up 3 books, return them and repeat. Now I have kindle unlimited and i dont have a library nearby so i dont go anymore.
I love my local library great services provided and great staff who are brilliant and lovely
Sadly I really don't use them enough but it's so important to use them because they are such a fabulous source of information. I will use this as a reminder to get back into it!
I am going to take my son to the library when he is older. There is a brilliant one at my husbands school.
