Ask a Question
Good evening all hope all safe and doing ok
well I got bored and decided to strip wall paper off from around cooker, but I have oil splash marks from before left on wall will just painting over be ok or will marks show
I will say that elbow grease spray is a fantastic wallpaper remover once patterned part off spray with the elbow grease and it comes off so easy plus I didn’t have a scrapper and used my finger nail thats how bored I have become so any advice much appreciated
I would think oil splash will still come through. My M in L swears by old fashioned green soap for grease marks, worked on OH hoodie, try rubbing the marks with that. OR
How do you get greasy marks off walls?
For small stains, mix: 1/4 teaspoon of soap in a cup of warm water, and wipe. Rinse with clean water, and blot until dry. Clean stubborn grease stains with solution of 1/3 cup of white household vinegar with 2/3 cup of water. OR
Mix one part white vinegar with one part hot water. Use a spray bottle to apply the solution to the grease. Allow it to set for several minutes and then wipe with a clean rag. Work in small areas and repeat as many times as necessary to get the wall clean
