Used Toilet Rolls Can Make You Money
Other
I’m kicking myself for not coming up with this idea sooner - to think of all those used toilet rolls that I have discarded with the rubbish!
I use them to grow sweet peas on a window sill. Sweet peas perform best if their roots are forced to grow in a deep, narrow channel. Planting the seeds in a loo roll gives them a strong start.
Once they are transferred into the garden the cardboard rots away in the earth.
Oh, and I 'rescue' hotel elasticated shower caps to cover plants growing in pots too. Like a mini greenhouse. I like saving money like that - it involves taking lots of holidays!
That's crazy. I never realised that people are actually able to sell used toilet rolls. I've got loads of them!
Wonder how much I'll make from them...
Well, they can put 'em up for sale but doesn't necessarily mean it'll sell. What an odd thing to sell on eBay.
Anyway, I wanted to have done this to a cable I have:
Ended up just putting some tape over it in the middle and didn't bother anymore.
seriously i cannot believe that people sell them or even buy them.......surely they can just save them themselves.........lol this has made me chuckle :-)
Don't be too upset you'll only get £10 at best for 200. That could take one person all year!
It would probably be much faster and more profitable to buy 1000 on eBay, split them up into 20 parcels of 50, and re-flog those on eBay!
I wonder if people who do cleaning jobs in large offices have got wind of this yet? might be difficult to explain why they are making off with the rubbish
Wow really interesting, at first I thought you meant people reused toilet paper which is disgusting... Anyway...won't these rolls have bacteria or viruses still on them since they've most likely been in the toilet area for weeks...
perhaps...but most people live in ignorance, which is better that way, or we would never want to leave our own homes (the amount of bacteria lingering in public spaces alone is cringeworthy!)
We save all of ours as our 2 guinea pigs love nibbling on them/playing with them. Sometimes we pack the empty roll with a mixture of their favourite food (tomato for Missy and broccoli for Jess), grass and parsley. Hence a grassley surprise!
