Users in EU Countries Blocked from Accessing Websites

This is just an example. So, European countries in the EU are blocked while non-EU aren't.
It sorta feels like we're dealing with USSR but instead it's the EUSSR.
More bans and blocks, then next thing you know, you can't even voice your own opinion. Thank goodness the UK is getting out of the madness that's the EU. Phew.
Hmm is that not happening under dictatorship? I mean it is the issue with communism and those countries, they block out the news from outside. It is a bit like this, control on freedom of speech.
It very much feels like a dictatorship without most people realizing it. European countries were better off independently before the EU came along.
Rockman the idea was not bad, because EU meant to have an economy together, but in reality it fails when people earn different wages in different countries. If they were equal would work better.
Also they have an issue to make all the rules for everyone, without considering the culture, religion of the countries.
AgnesFaludi Came across another service that has blocked EU IPs.
There are loads like this now but I don't even notice as I use a Texas IP address instead.
The EU is a burden on European nations and we're seeing the results already. Oh yeah, the EU got rid of border controls and anyone can roam free within European countries as long as they're part of the EU.. not good at all.
Rockman Are they really changing the EU laws or it is because the UK's Brexit situation?
AgnesFaludi The EU is demanding these absurd laws for the "better" of the people within the EU but no one is going to benefit from it other than copyright holders, and even they are kinda screwed since their content can't be accessed at all.
Imagine the YouTube gameplay videos being blocked on EU IPs which can very well happen as it relies on copyrighted material but the owners themselves have approved it and rely on that method too to get new customers. Still, does it matter that they consent? No, it's nothing official per say.
Britain has a lot to fix up after they get out of the EU, and especially the real life stabbings that have more or less gotten out of control and even the police can't handle it anymore. Though, the media is against Brexit and favor the EU.. the consequences can be seen already.
I believe that it is due to the new law of how much information a website can collect from the EU citizens. The new EU policy is towards the prevention of collecting, storing and selling private information to third party.
Data gets sold and reused regardless, the whole GDPR is just to make people feel like they're safer.
Facebook? Twitter? Competitions? And elsewhere? Yeah.
Rockman Rockman Sorry, I don't think you are looking for an answer as mush as smack the EU. I feel like this website is not the place for this type of propaganda. Admin needed!
LinaBarbarina really? I guess you're just not looking at the facts then. The EU just today made it public that they're going to require a lie detector for those leaving a EU country.
What's more, they want to replace the term "country" for state as in European countries become EU states.
This is all facts but suppose you don't want to acknowledge it. The EU doesn't care about privacy, pretends to.
I cant say I’ve noticed it myself, but I suspect the data protection laws that changed recently has something to do with it, considered as ‘safeguarding’ measures...so safe that even you can’t even get into your own accounts!
Well, as long as you use a reliable VPN then you can browse freely but even that EU and other companies are trying to block without much success, thankfully.
