Valentines Day
Ask a Question
so seeing as some shops are now putting things out i thought id ask, do you celebrate valentines?
we tend to do a nice meal (like at home because going out is to hectic with my 5 kids) and grab a token gift for each other. i sometimes think i should surprise him and do something bigger. what about you guys ?
I've already seen valentines day stuff out in the shops, cant believe its out already. I celebrate valentines with my partner, we don't go crazy and make a big deal out of it.
We like to celebrate it but often as not don't as my husband works nights and I work days. That should be changing this year and after 7 years of it we can't wait, so Valentine's Day 2021 will be a big deal
We realise it was only Christmas last week, but many will not have realised there is an extra day until the next one (this is a leap year) so those who like to part us from our money, need to start commercialising Valentine's day as soon as possible. It astonishes me that they don't concoct some way to commercialise leap year day... after all it's a long time to wait from Valentine's Day to Easter, it would fit in very nicely.
Valentine's day?!?! really? Oh blimey, not that already! Apart from 2 Valentine's days, I have never had a gift or a card in my whole life LOL! It's not a part of my world.
I like it purely for the novelty, not mad on it but will buy my partner a cheeky card and a little something if it catches my eye. We don't go mad for it though.
No me and my partner have been together 20 years now and not once have we done anything for valentines day or do we intend to either its just an unnecessary day I think and waste of money u can tell them or show them efection all year round
We celebrate it but with just something nice to eat maybe a little present. I totally empathise with people that don’t but for us it’s just a excuse for a nice treat haha. My sons preschool last year got the kids to make there mum a love heart card that was lovely.
My card shop were putting out the Valentines cards this morning. We usually just have a nice meal at home and my partners buys me chocolates and flowers, I usually do the same for him too. Other than that we always tell each other every day how much we love each other
My other half says he doesn’t need Valentine’s Day to tell me that he loves me. However I still get Gifts
Yes we do celebrate it, but after a while you don’t need it to be a big event. The best gifts are the meaningful ones, and that can be enjoyed at any time of the year
If we remember then yea we celebrate but we don't spend a fortune on it. My husband uses it as an excuse to get a takeaway.
Last year I took my girlfriend to a restaurant, this year I'm going to cook a meal for her at my house (I live alone).
Yes we do, we dont go overboard on gifts (although i may suprise the wife with some airpods this year) but we do get a nice card and some novelty gifts, get some nice munchies in and have a takeaway.
