How Much is Too Much on Vehicle Repair

We bought a second car for my other half just for work purposes and so far this year we’ve spent £800 on repair over the last couple of month. we’ve had it just over a year! Do we risk getting another? we’ve lost faith in the vehicle now
Thats a lot to spend on second hand car in less then a year i would sell that one on and get a more reliable one for the winter if you have lost faith
its really the wrong time of year Isn’t it. But yes we will probably be working out how to finance another car 
What is the car? I think it depends on how much you got the vehicle for and what the faults were.
