Waitrose and Co-op have both announced they are cutting food prices in the run-up to Christmas in recognition of tough economic times.
They are one of the more expensive supermarkets around, so prices will probably be more in line (thanks davidstockport) with the other supermarkets. Let’s see if the other supermarkets do anything like this
About time too - the prices they've been charging are way over the top. Helped by those who thought because the prices were higher the quality was better.
(think you meant "in line" not "online" when you edit - I'll remove this)
Lol yes defo - I absolutely hate autocorrect on my ipad, but it’s just something I’m used to now. thanks
hspexy Thought I'd mention as they mean quite different things - who knows they might compete ONLINE too.
davidstockport indeed. Although coop don’t currently sell online, which is fine as it’s not like they’d offer enticing enough deals to make it worth one’s while
hspexy The Co-op do sell groceries online https://shop.coop.co.uk/pricecuts?utm_source=Coop.co.uk&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=HP_Price_Cuts but as with their funeral services for me it would be "over my dead body".
I find Waitrose to be one of those supermarkets that is usually more expensive than the rest mostly, but occasionally they do have a few amazing deals that are better than the others...
I think Waitrose is way too expensive to do a full shop there, but is okay for the odd luxury item.
Hopefully at the minute nando's peri peri is too expensive mine nearly ran out
A lot of people will want a Christmas to look forward to but it's been a hard time in every way. I've actually bought more from supermarkets this year with not going out to shop around so they didn't do too badly
