Have You Ever Walked out on an Act?
Ask a Question
Just sat through a comedy act but it was pretty bad from the start, I walked after 45 minutes but feel bad. Has this ever happened to you and how did you feel ?
I did this last year at a musical I went to watch. I tolerated it upto the interval but didn't go back. I did feel bad at first but why I thought why waste your time on something you're not enjoying. Luckily the ticket didn't cost much
I guess it’s up to the act to continue with the show. They can’t expect everyone to like them, and if they can deal with the criticism on the small stage, it’ll help them deal with the wider audience if they get further with their act
I've seen some shows that I didn't care for, but I still stuck it out to the end of the performance. I've never walked out on any show or film.
I have walked out on two shows but generally we only pick things that we know we will like. One we felt bad about leaving but not the other. I don't think there is anything wrong in leaving, life is too short to waste at a show that's making you miserable.
If an act is poor why stay? They are there to entertain, that's their job or chosen hobby.
I would try to stay until the interval, as it usually causes disruption trying to climb across different people getting out of your seat, and probably feel a bit embarrassed to do it, and who knows the show might improve. If i was on the end near the doors I'd be gone thou.
I have left a play in the interval. I was with my partner and wasn’t sure whether he was enjoying it or not. Once we conferred, we both thought it was rubbish so didn’t go back in.
Not walked out on a show but I would happily during an interval if I wasnt enjoying it. I have walked out on several films tho.
I have left 3 different shows or plays at the interval because I was just not interested enough. I wouldn't leave any earlier just to see if it was going to get better.
I've walked out of the theatre and cinema many times. I will not waste my time if I am not enjoying myself despite the money I've spent. I always feel annoyed that I've wasted my time but glad I've left so I don't have to waste any more.
I’m at an adult holiday camp so walking out is very easy. Just seen another act tonight and was brilliant, no need to walk out and wanted more.
