Do You Wash Your Hair Correctly?
Ask a Question
Apparently there is a certain way to wash your hair, to make it look it’s best!
Also it is very important to shampoo your hair twice when washing it.
Do you shampoo your hair twice?!

I pretty much always wash my hair twice but I use very mild Tesco everyday value shampoo which they probably stopped selling about 6 months ago but one large litre bottle lasts me a long time plus I have one bottle in reserve so probably have enough shampoo for up to 2021. I think each bottle was about 40p so I'm not a high spender when it comes to shampoo.
Honestly I wash my hair twice a week and it is the best for me. I find myself not needing and mostly not wanting to wash my hair more often.
I try not to use too much shampoo, as I find it strips away the natural oils in my hair, mainly as most mainstream shampoos isn’t for my hair type. Or it’s more likely the hard water in my area doing the damage more. Either way, the less I wash my hair, the better
As long as I get to wash my hair I'm happy. If it is clean then I'm not bothered about whether it looks flat or dull or is frizzy. I'm running around after an 11 month old, so I'm not worried what it looks like.
I use supermarket own shampoo or boots own. I don't spend lots of money on shampoo or conditioner. My sons shampoo probably costs more than my own!
Interesting article. I’ve always washed my hair twice but after reading this I think I use too much shampoo. In my defence I live in a hard water area so maybe I need that extra shampoo just to lather.
I sometimes use shampoo twice but to save on shampoo I'd rather not, it usually feels squeaky clean after one go. I prefer to wash my hair over the bath so the back of the head does get washed properly. Just started using a shampoo bar from lush and its brilliant.
I have always washed it once and I have really healthy hair that lasts 3 days between washes i always thought when a bottle says wash your hair twice, it was just so you use more shampoo and buy more
It’s interesting to see how many of us have different hair washing patterns! I’m very jealous of you which get away with washing a couple of times a week! I shampoo my hair daily but only once so might try doing it twice, and I use mid ranged prices shampoo which are free of silicons and parabens. I rarely condition my hair maybe once every couple of months! I used to use an expensive American shampoo and conditioner daily and I was spending £66 a month on shampoo and conditioner - soon got out of that habit when I moved into my own house!
I wash my hair every three days, I shampoo and condition it but once a week I also do a hair mask and also once a week wash my hair with rain water collected in the water butt my nan and great nan use to swear by it as makes hair really soft. my hair is down to just past my waist so takes a while to wash and style x
I swim twice a week so have to give my hair some tlc or it would become brittle and break. I do the twice wash method and only condition the ends. I have recently swapped all previous product for Philips Kingsley (first on a trial then a freebie now hooked and purchased) and it has made my hair feel stronger. I love that there is a product on the shelves for every individual.
