Washing Detergant
Ask a Question
Hi
do you think there is a diffrence in washing powder, gel,or tablets?
i think they all work the same but can not fully understand why there is so many different ones
i understand the different smells of these as everyone like there own fragrance
what do you think is it really need or want these different type's of washing detergant's
I think it's probably want. I'm a bit old fashioned and like my powder but I think people now probably don't want big boxes of powder and so have turned to tablets and liquids. I have to admit though once the box I'm using at the moment finishes I will be using liquid as I stocked up on it when I saw a really good deal. Saving money wins
I prefer powders as I like to use an amount dependent on how much I'm washing and how dirty the laundry is. You can't really do that with tablets. I expect some people like the tablets that go in the drum as they are less mess than trying to pour out powder or liquid and don't leave scum in the drawer.
I use powder after a washing machine engineer told me to avoid using the liquid stuff. He said the liquid can clog up! So after his advice I’ve always used powder.
Someone locally uses conkers to make her own eco washing liquid but I’ll stick with the powder.
I think it is to do with want. I tend to just buy whatever is the cheapest and best value for money, so normally supermarket own powder. I like the different smells as I love taking the washing out and you get hit with the nice fresh smell.
I prefer liquid, especially when washing dark trousers....hate white powder patches struck to clothes.
I prefer tabs but have to be careful what I use regardless of tabs or powder as my son is allergic to the chemicals they use in conditioners. I switched to tabs a year or so ago when I saw one of those monthly box deals (Smol).
I think powder make a mess on black clothes sometimes when it not gets washed off properly.
I prefer gel, but on whites it not as effective.
